Title: Restaurant Manager
Reporting line: CEO/Director
Job overview: A highly motivated Restaurant Manager & Sommelier with a passion for food and wine to oversee all aspects of our dining establishment. He/she will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, supervising staff, and maintaining a high level of hygiene and cleanliness. Additionally, the Restaurant Manager and Sommelier will be expected to curate a wine list that complements our comfort food offerings and enhances our patrons’ dining experience.

Box In The Park – As an eatery located in the latest sports club in town, we would like to ensure that we serve delicious food while being a modern and trendy outdoor restaurant and casual drinking spot in town.

Job description & requirements


  • Manage all aspects of the restaurant, including customer service, employee training and development, food and beverage quality, inventory management, and financial performance.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all patrons.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with wine suppliers and distributors.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary.
  • Ensure that the restaurant meets all health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Schedule staff and manage payroll to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports for management.
  • And other duties as determined by the line manager after due consultation.

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Certification from a recognized sommelier program is preferred.
